Our expertise is the design and production of siRNA pools, called siPOOLs, for gene knock-down experiments in all areas of life-science research. We have over 10 years experience in high-content RNAi screening, gene knock-down technology and the design and production of siPOOLs. Our aim is to help researchers to produce reliable and clean phenotypic data. 

siTOOLs Biotech's next generation siRNA pools, called siPOOLs, are complex pools of 30 carefully selected siRNAs, each targeting the gene of choice. siPOOLs are sufficiently complex to reliably dilute sequence specific off-target effects seen with other commercially available siRNA tools in gene knock-down experiments.

siPOOLs are a carefully selected using our proprietary design algorithm, siPOOLs are a defined composition of the most potent siRNAs, directed against the entire target sequence. siPOOLs show superior gene-knock down activity and maximal reduction of unknown off-target effects thus enabling the research the generation of clear and interpretable phenotypic data.

The company siTools Biotech GmbH, which was co-founded by Prof. Gunter Meister, was recently awarded the 2nd price in the business plan contest Nordbayern 2014.
